Softball Recap: Peoria Notre Dame Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

Peoria Notre Dame lost to Normal West back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Irish came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 12-9. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Irish.

The team relied heavily on Ella Tady, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Mady Gibson, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Peoria Notre Dame kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are 8-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Peoria Notre Dame pushed their record up to 14-13 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Normal West, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-17.

Peoria Notre Dame does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Normal West, they will head out to take on Pontiac at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
