The home team had won the previous three meetings between Houston and Rushford-Peterson, and Houston kept the tradition alive. The Hurricanes blew past the Trojans 12-1 on Monday. Considering the Hurricanes have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Houston pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Rushford-Peterson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Houston will be playing at home against Southland at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rushford-Peterson, they will welcome Lewiston-Altura at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
