Recap: Wingate Generals vs. Medgar Evers College Prep
The Wingate Generals suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They fell just short of Medgar Evers College Prep by a score of 47-45. If Wingate hoped to take revenge for the 54-42 defeat against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Medgar Evers College Prep had a senior duo take command as Jared Percy scored 19 points and Dejon Williams scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Adriel Fleming, who scored eight points.
Wingate now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Medgar Evers College Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.
