Volleyball Game Preview: Marshfield Rams vs. Scituate Sailors

The Marshfield Rams will face off against the Scituate Sailors at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Marshfield came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Duxbury, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Rams have suffered since October 16, 2024.

Marshfield was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-22, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Scituate lost 3-0 to Pembroke on Monday. The Sailors haven't had much luck with the Titans recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Pembroke scored at least 19 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-23, 25-19.

Marshfield will have to contain Matilda Grant as she made an impact in Scituate's last game. She had ten digs and two aces. Molly-Kate Scott also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Marshfield's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Scituate, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
