Basketball Recap: Wisdom Generals vs. Bellaire Cardinals
Wisdom extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 3-8. They had to suffer through a 69-42 loss at the hands of the Bellaire Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 76-37 back in December of 2025.
Wisdom's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marcus Wells, who posted 12 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Noha Bereket, who had 12 points.
As for Bellaire, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-16 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points over those games.
Bellaire's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Riley Hudlow, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
