Basketball Recap: West Allegheny Wins Going Away Against Seton Lasalle

West Allegheny hadn't done well against Seton LaSalle recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The West Allegheny Indians strolled past the Seton LaSalle Rebels with points to spare, taking the game 59-44. For the Indians, this counts as revenge for the 108-105 victory the Rebels walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2021.

The win got West Allegheny back to even at 4-4. As for Seton LaSalle, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

West Allegheny and Seton LaSalle could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. West Allegheny (ranked 318th) will meet Peters Township (ranked 75th) at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Seton LaSalle will challenge McDowell at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday down 331 places (405 vs. 74).
