Baseball Preview: Eureka Loggers vs. Arcata Tigers
Eureka and Arcata are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2022, but likely not for long. The Loggers will face off against the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Eureka will be strutting in after a victory while Arcata will be coming in after a loss.
Eureka's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They didn't even let Fortuna on the board, marking the Loggers' second-straight 7-0 shutout. The Loggers haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Not much got past Brayden Bermers, who gave up just two hits and racked up six Ks to keep Fortuna off the board. Bermers also tossed a walk, which is notable because Eureka is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 1-5 otherwise.
