Basketball Recap: Kris Foote Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Cypress Creek

On Friday, the Clearwater Tornadoes wrapped up 2024 with a 60-43 win over the Cypress Creek Coyotes .

Clearwater's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kris Foote, who went 8 for 15 on his way to 18 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Foote's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Keshawn Andrews, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 boards.

Clearwater was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cypress Creek only racked up five assists.

When it comes to explaining why Cypress Creek lost, don't look at Manuel Castro. Despite the final result, he went 5 of 9 on his way to 11 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominic Cravotta, who posted seven points.

Clearwater's record is now 8-1. As for Cypress Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

Clearwater wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 71-54 win against Sickles on the 28th. As for Cypress Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-53 victory against Evangelical Christian on the 28th.
