Basketball Recap: ABF Academy Takes a Loss

ABF Academy entered their game against Academy of Central Florida Regional on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The ABF Academy Cowboys took a 66-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Academy of Central Florida Regional Golden Bulls. The Cowboys were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Golden Bulls earlier this season, when they won 79-78.

When it comes to explaining why ABF Academy lost, don't look at Miguel Ruiz. Despite the final result, he posted 26 points. Estoyan Vargas was another key player, putting up 13 points.

ABF Academy's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 10-1 and their overall record down to 15-8. As for Academy of Central Florida Regional, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

As of now, neither ABF Academy nor Academy of Central Florida Regional have any future games scheduled.
