Softball Recap: Spring Grove Comes Up Short

Spring Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eastern York Golden Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rockets of the 7-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

Andrina Camilleri was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Jozalynn Hartman, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI.

Spring Grove's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Eastern York, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Coincidentally, Spring Grove and Eastern York will both be playing New Oxford the next time they take the field. The Golden Knights will head out to face the Colonials at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, while the Rockets will host them at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
