Basketball Recap: Chippewa Falls Takes a Loss

Chippewa Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Rice Lake Warriors and fell 74-34. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 411th, while the Warriors are ranked 29th).

Chippewa Falls' loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Rice Lake, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Chippewa Falls will be playing at home against Holmen at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Holmen knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Chippewa Falls likes a good challenge. Rice Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
