Volleyball Recap: Raton Picks Up 12th Consecutive Victory + How To Watch

Raton came tearing into Thursday's contest with 11 straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Santa Rosa Lions. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in October.

Raton was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 23-25, 17-25, 25-23, 15-11.

Leading Raton to victory were Elizabeth Boone and Addison Medina. Boone had 14 digs and two aces, while Medina hit 100% for ten kills and 31 digs and two aces. Medina has been hot for a while, having also posted 14 or more assists the last 48 times she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Raton was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 25 consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Raton's win bumped their record up to 19-3. As for Santa Rosa, their loss ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-12.
