Softball Recap: Natalia Wins Going Away Against Dilley

Natalia won the last time they faced Dilley and things went their way on Monday too. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Wolves. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Anaya Jones was incredible, going 2-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Yahdi Lujan, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.

The win made it two in a row for Natalia and bumps their season record up to 20-7-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Dilley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-16 record this season.

Natalia will host Uvalde at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dilley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
