After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Central of Clay County, Childersburg was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Sylacauga Aggies by a score of 9-6. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Aggies back in February, they had to take a 10-9 loss.

Madison Brooks was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed seven innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Taraji Jones, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelsie Kelley, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-4.

The win snapped Childersburg's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-10 record. As for Sylacauga, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Childersburg will look to defend their home field on March 29th against Horseshoe Bend at 9:00 a.m. As for Sylacauga, they will challenge Fayetteville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
