Softball Recap: Pearl Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Pearl can now relate to. They fell 4-1 to the Harrison Central Red Rebels on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Pirates couldn't push the score so high this time.

Pearl has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-12 record this season. As for Harrison Central, they pushed their record up to 15-16 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

While Pearl had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
