Baseball Game Preview: Perry Hall Gators vs. Lansdowne Vikings

Perry Hall is 7-2 against Lansdowne since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Gators are taking a road trip to square off against the Vikings at 4:00 p.m. The last three games Perry Hall has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Wednesday, Perry Hall had just enough and edged out Western Tech & Environmental Science 8-7. That's two games straight that the Gators have won by just one run.

Kade Gibson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and four unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Austen Widomski, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Noah Carl, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Lansdowne came up short against Kenwood on Wednesday, falling 12-4. The defeat continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Bluebirds: they've now lost five in a row.

David Eastlake made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles. Those doubles were his first of the season.

Lansdowne's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Perry Hall, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Perry Hall got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against Lansdowne by a conclusive 14-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Gators since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
