Volleyball Game Preview: Mt. Vernon Mustangs vs. Marion Wolves

The Mt. Vernon Mustangs will head out to challenge the Marion Wolves at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Mt. Vernon's tournament run continued when they took on Wapsie Valley on Saturday. The Mustangs walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Warriors. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Meanwhile, Marion was able to grind out a solid win over Center Point-Urbana on Tuesday, taking the game 3-1.

Mt. Vernon's record now sits at 13-9. As for Marion, their record is now an identical 13-9.

Everything went Mt. Vernon's way against Marion in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Mt. Vernon made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
