Baseball Game Preview: Santa Teresa Saints vs. Leigh Longhorns

For the second straight game, Santa Teresa will face off against Leigh. The Saints will be playing at home against the Longhorns at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Santa Teresa came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Leigh, falling 12-2. The Saints haven't had much luck with the Longhorns recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

For Leigh's part, Marcus Glanville spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on seven hits.

At the plate, Justin Jeong was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Michael Mogannam was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Leigh kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Santa Teresa only managed seven hits.

Leigh's win bumped their record up to 17-4. As for Santa Teresa, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.
