Baseball Game Preview: Genoa-Kingston Cogs vs. Winnebago Indians

Genoa-Kingston is 2-8 against Winnebago since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Cogs will look to defend their home field against the Indians at 4:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, Genoa-Kingston came up short against Rockford Christian and fell 10-7.

Meanwhile, Winnebago got the win against South Beloit on Friday by a conclusive 7-1.

Winnebago's victory bumped their record up to 8-16. As for Genoa-Kingston, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-14.

Genoa-Kingston couldn't quite get it done against Winnebago in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 as they fell 6-1. Can the Cogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
