Florida State University High School has no trouble against Marianna

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Florida State University High School Seminoles walked away with it. Everything went their way against Marianna on Friday as Florida State University High School made off with a 41-17 victory. Florida State University High School might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won six contests by 23 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Florida State University High School to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jeremy Johnston, who threw for 189 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Threatts, who rushed for 33 yards and two touchdowns.

Florida State University High School's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Maurice Adams jr was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up three sacks himself.

Marianna's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Rj Mayes, who rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown, and Ryan Peace who gained 64 total yards and a touchdown.

The victory (which was Florida State University High School's fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.2 points per game. As for Marianna, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Florida State University High School will head out on the road to face off against Wakulla at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wakulla will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line. Marianna does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
