Basketball Recap: Colten Arnold and Kelby Harwood Secure Win for North Montgomery

North Montgomery hadn't done well against Western Boone recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The North Montgomery Chargin' Chargers secured a 33-28 W over the Western Boone Stars. The 33-point effort marked the Chargin' Chargers' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Leading North Montgomery to victory were Kelby Harwood and Colten Arnold. Harwood dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten boards, while Arnold posted seven points and six boards. Harwood's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Western Boone's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Gavin Hawkins, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 11 points, and Tristyn Faulk, who had nine points.

The victory made it two in a row for North Montgomery and bumps their season record up to 4-6. As for Western Boone, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Crawfordsville the next time they take the court. Western Boone will head out to face Crawfordsville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while North Montgomery will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
