MISSION VIEJO, Calif. -
Mission Viejo (Calif.) put up 14 points in the fourth quarter in Saturday's game to seal their 35-12 victory over
Trabuco Hills (Mission Viejo, Calif.).
The Diablos were up 7-5 at the half after taking the lead on a
Ian Fieber touchdown pass to
Sean Modster in the second quarter.
Mission Viejo expanded its lead to 16 points entering the fourth quarter. MV scored two times in the third, including once on a punt return touchdown by
Alex Suchesk.
The Mustangs'
Nathan Perry played well. The senior quarterback threw one touchdown. His performance brought his touchdown total to five on the year.
Marcus Collins played well for the Diablos in the victory. The senior running back ran for two touchdowns.
Trabuco Hills' lone touchdown came on an 18-yard pass from Perry to
Alex Staff in the fourth quarter.
Led by
Max Redfield, Mission Viejo came into the game allowing 16.5 points per game. TH's 12 points were well below its season average of 20.8 per game.
MV also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 42-7.
In a South Coast game next week Mission Viejo (9-0) takes on El Toro, and Trabuco Hills (4-5) will go up against San Clemente also in a South Coast game.
