Columbia Falls strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Everything went their way against the Bigfork Vikings & Valkyries as they made off with an 8-2 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.
Nico Young was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits (and only one walk). Young was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Brady Matson and Jory Hill did most of the damage at the plate: Matson scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Hill went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one triple.
