Volleyball Recap: Cibola Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cibola can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Los Lunas Tigers on Friday. The Cougars have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Los Lunas found their leader in sophomore Makenna Gion, who had 23 digs and seven assists. Those 23 digs set a new season-high mark for Gion.

Cibola now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Los Lunas, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season.

Cibola does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Los Lunas, they have already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Centennial on the 14th.
