Baseball Recap: Henrietta Gets the Win

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Saturday as neither Henrietta nor North Crowley made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Bearcats won by a run and slipped past the Panthers 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Bearcats: when they faced off against the Panthers back in February, they had to take a 8-7 loss.

Henrietta is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for North Crowley, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Henrietta will face off against Bowie at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Crowley, they will square off against Weatherford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Kangaroos' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
