Clark saw some tournament action on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 71-48 margin over Hoover. Given the Chargers' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 21st in Nevada, while the Cardinals are ranked 583rd in California), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Sierra Vista suffered their closest loss since January 22, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of Monterey Trail by a score of 74-71.

Clark is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Sierra Vista, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.

Clark couldn't quite finish off Sierra Vista when the teams last played back in January of 2024 and fell 62-60. Can Clark avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
