Soccer Game Preview: Franklin vs. Bishop Blanchet

The Franklin Quakers will venture away from home to take on the Bishop Blanchet Bears at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Franklin fell victim to Garfield and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 3-0. Franklin have struggled against Garfield recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Bishop Blanchet kept a clean sheet against West Seattle on Thursday. They skirted past West Seattle 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Bishop Blanchet were the better team in the second half.

The victory made it two in a row for Bishop Blanchet and bumps their season record up to 7-2-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matchups. As for Franklin, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Franklin couldn't quite get it done against Bishop Blanchet in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Quakers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
