STEM School Highlands Ranch wouldn't go down easily and took Alameda into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-17, 22-25, 23-25, 16-14.

STEM School Highlands Ranch's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Aurora West College Prep Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Aurora West College Prep Academy was able to grind out a solid win over STEM School Highlands Ranch in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Aurora West College Prep Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
