Baseball Recap: Manville Wins Going Away Against Dunellen

Manville owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Dunellen Destroyers as they made off with a 9-0 victory. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Destroyers, too.

Manville let Brandon Shimp and Josh D'Ambrosio run wild. Shimp scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while D'Ambrosio scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Collin Shimp was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Manville now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Dunellen, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manville will challenge Morristown-Beard at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dunellen, they will square off against New Brunswick at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
