Recap: Timberline Blazers vs. North Thurston Rams

It was a good run, but the Timberline Blazers unfortunately witnessed the end of their 12-game winning streak on Wednesday. They were beaten by North Thurston 67-38. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Timberline has scored all season.

Timberline lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Shayla Cordis, who scored ten points along with five steals. Cordis is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sierra Cordis, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

Timberline struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

It was another big night for Soraya Ogaldez, who dropped a triple-double on 30 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists for North Thurston. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Ogaldez has scored at least a third of North Thurston's points. Alexis Meyer was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds.

Timberline will take on River Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North Thurston, they will be playing at home against Central Kitsap at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
