The Jackson Ironman/Ironladies will take on the Unioto Shermans at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jackson will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
Jackson is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten goals on Saturday, they were much more limited against Hillsboro on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Unioto). Their defense stepped up to hand Piketon a 16-0 shutout on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Shermans, who have now won four games by three goals or more so far this season.
Their offense was hitting Piketon from everywhere, as 13 different players booted in a goal.
Grady Husband led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.
Jackson's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Unioto, the win also got them back to even at 4-4.
