The Eau Gallie Commodores will head out on the road to square off against the Atlantic Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Eau Gallie will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.

Eau Gallie is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Palm Bay to the tune of 56-6 on Friday. Given the Commodores' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Pirates are ranked 382nd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Atlantic strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past Deerfield Beach 55-21. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by 22 points or more this season.

Atlantic's win came from a few key players Eau Gallie will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Pedro Martinez, who threw for 216 yards and five touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes. Those five passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mark Hanniford, who picked up 71 receiving yards and three scores.

Atlantic's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Eau Gallie, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Eau Gallie has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 207.5 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Atlantic struggles in that department as they've been averaging 181.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
