Softball Game Preview: Broome Centurions vs. Aynor Blue Jackets

The Broome Centurions will be taking part in a tournament against the Aynor Blue Jackets at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Broome comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Broome's offense. They lost 10-0 to Chesnee on Wednesday. The game marked the first time this year in which the Centurions were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Aynor owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out North Myrtle Beach 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Jackets.

Aynor pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.4 runs over those games. As for Broome, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything went Broome's way against Aynor in their previous meeting back in May of 2022, as Broome made off with a 6-0 win. Will Broome repeat their success, or does Aynor have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
