Baseball Recap: Eagle River Takes a Loss

Eagle River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 17-3 to the Dimond Lynx.

Eagle River saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooks Inch, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Miguel Marrero also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.

Eagle River's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Dimond, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Eagle River is set to face off against their familiar foe Chugiak at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Dimond will square off against rival West Anchorage at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
