Baseball Recap: Harding's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

Harding had lost six games straight , but after bumping their record up to 3-15 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Conneaut Spartans with a sharp 20-12 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Skippers considering their two-run performance the match before.

Yomar Castellano was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Abe Castellano, who got on base in five of his six plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.

As for Conneaut, they are on a 25-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-19. On the bright side, the 12- run effort marked their highest-scoring contest to date.

On Conneaut's side, they got a big performance out of Eli Taylor, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Colby Stiltner, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Coming up, Harding will be playing in front of their home fans against Grand Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Conneaut, they will take on Girard at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Yellowjackets have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
