Basketball Game Preview: The First Academy Royals vs. Faith Christian Lions

The First Academy Royals will challenge the Faith Christian Lions on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

The First Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Circle Christian 94-30. The Royals' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Faith Christian had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They claimed a resounding 71-38 victory over the Rams. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while the Rams are ranked 602nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Faith Christian is also on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.1 points per game. As for The First Academy, their win bumped their record up to 16-7.
