Auburndale. The Dreadnaughts went 13-1 last season with the only loss coming to national power
St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale) in the state championship game.
De La Salle's 2024 season followed a similar course, finishing 12-1 with the lone loss coming to eventual national champion
Mater Dei (Santa Ana) in the state title contest.

Duece Jones-Drew , the son of former Spartan great Maurice-Jones-Drew, is regarded as one of the top junior running backs in the country after rushing for five touchdowns as a sophomore.
Four-star prospects
Malik Morris and
Santana Harvey lead Lakeland on defense. Morris is committed to Florida and had 95 tackles, nine sacks and three forced fumbles last season. The senior also contributes on the other side of the ball with 15 rushing scores in his career. Harvey is is coming off a 2024 sophomore campaign where he had 60 tackles, 8.5 sacks and two forced fumbles. He is the son of Derrick Harvey, the No. 8 overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft and former teammate of Jones-Drew in Jacksonville.
