Basketball Game Preview: Harlem Huskies vs. Hononegah Indians

Harlem hasn't had much luck against Hononegah recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Harlem Huskies will square off against the Hononegah Indians at 7:15 p.m. Hononegah took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Harlem, who comes in off a win.

Harlem is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 68-38 win over Belvidere North. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Huskies have posted since January 7th.

Meanwhile, Hononegah lost to Saint Ignatius College Prep on the road by a 49-33 margin on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 141st, while the Wolfpack are ranked ninth).

This is the second loss in a row for Hononegah and nudges their season record down to 13-10. As for Harlem, they moved to 7-16 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Harlem took a serious blow against Hononegah in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 64-34. Can Harlem avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
