Basketball Recap: Sierra Lutheran Comes Up Short

Sierra Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 27-20 to the Oasis Academy Bighorns. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 28-26 back in December of 2024.

Sierra Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Oasis Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-13 record this season.

Coming up, Sierra Lutheran will host Loyalton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Sierra Lutheran has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Oasis Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
