Volleyball Recap: Rossville Takes Down Clinton Central in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Rossville had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Clinton Central Bulldogs. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 2-0 victory last Saturday.

Blaire Wellman paced Rossville's offense, picking up 12 kills. Wellman got some help from Tori Fadness and her 26 assists. Finally, Ava Burkle kept Rossville's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

When it comes to explaining why Clinton Central lost, don't look at Alli Adair. Despite the final result, she had ten digs and four aces. With that strong performance, Adair is now averaging an impressive 2 aces per game.

Rossville's win bumped their record up to 27-3. As for Clinton Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-14.

Rossville has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Clinton Prairie on the 18th. Clinton Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
