Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Loss Ends Ferguson's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Ferguson unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 54-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Dade Buccaneers. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Buccaneers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Ferguson lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Adrian Morales, who posted seven points. What's more, Morales also racked up four assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Vojin Rebraca, who put up eight points.

Ferguson's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-17. As for South Dade, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Ferguson has already played their next match, a 56-40 win against Pinecrest Prep on the 30th. As for South Dade, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 45-38 defeat against Reagan on the 31st.
