Soccer Recap: Upson-Lee's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Whitewater, Upson-Lee was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They never let the Spalding Jaguars get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. The score was close at halftime, but Upson-Lee pulled away in the second half with two goals.

Reese Streetman and Carlee Green scored all three of Upson-Lee's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

Upson-Lee's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-5. As for Spalding, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-5.

Luella will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Upson-Lee surely won't give up without a fight. As for Spalding, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Spalding take on Fayette County at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. They will be up against Fayette County's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.64 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
