Baseball Recap: Morehead Comes Up Short

Morehead came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the West Stokes Wildcats, falling 11-1. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost three in a row.

Morehead saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Judson Friese, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Morehead's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for West Stokes, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Morehead is set to face off against their familiar foe North Forsyth at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, West Stokes will take on rival McMichael at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
