Baseball Recap: Skyline Takes a Loss

Skyline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Stockton, falling 12-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Skyline of the 12-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Skyline saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Hodges, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Skyline's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Skyline and Stockton will both be playing Mt. Vernon the next time they take the field. Stockton will host Mt. Vernon at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Skyline will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
