Baseball Game Preview: Woodstock Blue Streaks vs. Woodstock North Thunder

For the second straight game, Woodstock will face off against Woodstock North. The Blue Streaks will venture away from home to square off against the Thunder at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodstock has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 16.

Things were looking good for Woodstock after they put the first run on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against Woodstock North, falling 15-9. While the Blue Streaks didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Thunder 4-0 in the first period.

Angelo Pacini and Sonny Marsalla did some serious damage despite the final result: Pacini went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one double, while Marsalla went 2-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Woodstock is 2-1 when Marsalla posts two or more runs, but 2-14 otherwise. Devin Haggerty was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Woodstock's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Woodstock North, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-11 record.
