Soccer Recap: Elk Lake Takes a Loss

After flying high against Forest City on Monday, Elk Lake came back down to earth. The Warriors came up short against the Riverside Vikings on Wednesday, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Elk Lake can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 449th, while Riverside are ranked 140th).

Elk Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8-1. As for Riverside, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Elk Lake will head out to take on Wallenpaupack Area at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Riverside, they will venture away from home to face off against Carbondale Area at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
