While Grafton put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Liberty. The Bearcats put the hurt on the Mountaineers with a sharp 18-0 win. The game marked the Bearcats' most dominant victory of the season.
Lillie Crimm made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Ruth Horne was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Karigan Wildroudt, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Grafton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matches.
Grafton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Liberty, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
