Baseball Recap: Hillcrest Takes a Loss

Hillcrest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 9-3 to the Kennedy Crusaders.

Hillcrest saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rashon Perry, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Hillcrest's loss dropped their record down to 3-22. As for Kennedy, they have been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-10 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hillcrest will host Thornton Fractional North at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Meteors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.61 runs per game on average), something the Hawks will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Kennedy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bulls College Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Crusaders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulls have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
