Basketball Recap: Judah Christian Academy Falls to UR Academy in First Game of Season

Judah Christian Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by UR Academy and fell 82-52. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Leading UR Academy to victory were Jeremiah Logan and Micah Arant. Logan dropped a double-double with 16 points and 11 assists, while Arant shot 82% from the field to rack up 19 points and eight rebounds. Arant has also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 53% every time he's hit the court this season. Brysen Parker was another key player, going 5-for-7 on his way to 11 points.

The win was the third in a row for UR Academy, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Judah Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Alexander Christian Academy on December 5. As for UR Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge Lake Pointe Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
