Football Recap: Brewster Takes a Loss

Brewster came into this matchup off a tough 30-point loss last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Yorktown Huskers by a score of 36-34 on Friday. The Bears were not able to make up for their defeat to the Huskers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Brewster lost, don't look at Chase Prohaszka. Despite the final result, he rushed for 161 yards and four scores, and also threw for 123 yards and one touchdown. Prohaszka is becoming a predictor of the Bears' success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is 4-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).

This is the second loss in a row for Brewster and nudges their season record down to 5-3. As for Yorktown, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season.
